What a project like these involves
Choosing the system
Every terrace here was built from the catalogue rather than drawn from scratch. The Mezzo spans 3 × 4 m up to 4 × 6 m and turns its louvers by motor; the Piano spans 3 × 3 m up to 3 × 5 m and turns them by crank. Both stand freely or against a wall, and both take retractable shades between the pillars on any side you want closed.
What decides the model is usually the span and whether a 230V connection is within reach. What decides the shades is the direction the low sun comes from — most of these projects close one or two sides and leave the rest open.
From order to standing
A system is made to order and delivered as a ready-to-assemble kit in two to three weeks. Two people raise one in six to eight hours on a level, load-bearing surface — that is the weekend these terraces refer to. If you would rather not, our own fitters do it for €1,500 on a pergola and €750 for each shade.
The frame is powder-coated aluminium with a five-year structural warranty, rated to 100 – 120 km/h when properly anchored. Motors and electrical parts carry two to five years depending on the model.
